Children’s Hospital Association Adds Matthew Snider to Policy Team
WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Children’s Hospital Association (CHA) announced today that Matthew Snider joined the association as director of state affairs. Snider comes to CHA from 340B Health, where he advanced state and federal legislative and regulatory priorities for hospitals participating in the 340B drug pricing program. In his new role, Snider will spearhead CHA’s state-level advocacy efforts, working closely with CHA’s member hospitals and partners to drive impactful policy solutions that prioritize children’s health.
“Matthew brings a wealth of passion, experience, and skill to CHA’s policy team,” said Aimee Ossman, vice president of policy. “With nearly a decade of experience in health care policy and extensive work with hospitals, Matthew is well positioned to serve as a leading advocate for CHA’s member hospitals, ensuring that children’s health issues are front and center for state legislatures across the country.”
As director of state affairs, Snider will develop and implement CHA state-focused outreach, engagement, and policy initiatives to better support children’s hospitals’ state advocacy and CHA’s federal policy priorities, including pediatric workforce, Medicaid, and children’s mental health.
Snider’s health care policy and regulatory experience also includes serving as a policy advisor at Unidos US, where he managed a policy portfolio overseeing Medicaid/CHIP, health equity, and the Affordable Care Act marketplace, as well as advancing regulatory issues for the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons. He received his bachelor’s degree in anthropology from the University of South Carolina, and a juris doctor from the Syracuse University College of Law.
