CHA Launches Six-Figure Ad Campaign Calling for Congress to Protect Medicaid

The digital ads will appear in Washington D.C., Maryland, and Virginia with TV spots to follow.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Children’s Hospital Association (CHA) has launched a six-figure ad campaign calling for Congress to protect Medicaid, a vital resource for children and families nationwide. The multiplatform digital ads, titled "One in Two," highlight the benefits Medicaid provides for 37 million children in the U.S., and how cuts to the program would hurt families and children — regardless of whether they use Medicaid or private insurance — who rely on high-quality pediatric care. The campaign will include television ads across the Washington D.C., Maryland, and Virginia beltway to be launched later this month.

“The Children’s Hospital Association is investing significantly in the Medicaid conversation because we know just how lifechanging the program is to children and families at children’s hospitals nationwide. Not only are children’s hospitals changing and saving lives, but they’re creating jobs and boosting the economy for the communities they serve,” said Matt Cook, CHA president and CEO. “Without Medicaid, none of that is possible. Children’s hospitals are already facing workforce shortages and low reimbursement rates. If Medicaid is weakened, these issues will worsen, and all children — regardless of whether they rely on Medicaid or not — will go without the care they need.”
